BEST-COST held its third and final consensus meeting, designed for stakeholder co-creation of the project’s methodological protocols and support long-term stakeholder engagement. This meeting was designed to bring together health monetisation experts to discuss the work of BEST-COST in developing methodologies to monetise health impacts associated to environmental stressors.
During the meeting, BEST-COST partners presented the work on developing a cost monetisation framework. Subsequently, the discussion was opened for feedback from partners, based on their own experience working on the topic and their opinions on how to define health monetisation.
The meeting marked the first collective step toward developing the BEST-COST Health Monetisation Framework. The next steps will focus on refining the framework and drafting reporting guidelines to ensure methodological consistency and transparency across studies.
